Stanford University's Neurodiversity Project hosts a Special Interest Group for Neurodiversity, a grassroots effort aimed at promoting neurodiversity. The Neurodiversity Project also organises the annual Stanford Neurodiversity Summit, a global event that brings together neurodiverse/neurodivergent individuals, employers, service agencies, educators and students, parents, and professionals from all areas of the field.

The NEA's Rob Edwards was invited to share his story and that of the Association with the Special Interest Group members in January 2025. He spoke about his lived experience as part of a neurodivergent family, and how his own neurodivergency has impacted his running businesses over the past decade. He talked about finding a lack of suitable support and celebration of neurodivergent self-employment and, in typical ADHD fashion, hurling himself into the gap to create the NEA.

Rob's talk was followed by a Q&A with participants.

The full recording of Rob's talk is freely available via the Stanford University Neurodiversity Project's website.
