NEA Accreditation

Are you providing entrepreneurial skills programmes?

With at least 1 in 5 people in society neurodivergent (and, in all probability, a much larger proportion within the entrepreneurial community), you need to ensure that your approaches and interventions are inclusive for everybody’s ways of processing information.

There are many no- or low-cost changes that you can make to your existing programmes that can have a hugely positive effect on neurodivergent participants.

At the NEA, we can work with you to audit your current programmes and support your teams with an action plan and dedicated coach to put recommendations into practice.

Programmes that have been audited and improved to agreed standards are awarded NEA Accreditation, a tangible sign of your leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

How NEA accreditation works

  • Invite us as observers to your next entrepreneurial skills session so we can see the experience you offer to your attendees.

  • We share a customised recommendations report with you, based around four main areas:
    • Accessibility, including physical environment, digital accessibility and your application process
    • Communication, including inclusive materials, interaction preferences, feedback mechanisms and session culture.
    • Programme Management, including scheduling, pacing & deadlines, and programme content
    • Training and Awareness, including staff preparedness and peer education

  • We also include further recommendations for neuroinclusive practice based on three broader areas across your organisation:
    • Support and Resources, including accommodations, mentorship, wellbeing services
    • Cultural and Structural Inclusivity, including representation, programme goals and community building
    • Evaluation and Improvement

  • A dedicated NEA coach with expertise in neurodiversity will then work with you to identify achievable goals and priorities, and meet monthly online with you over a six-month period to discuss progress.

  • We evaluate progress with our external assessors to decide if you can become NEA Accredited.
